Hello lovelies,

more shampoo galore here :D I love getting them, whenever I have the chance to buy new variants, new brands, or even new formula, I'm there. OGX Beauty itself have been getting a rave for their irresistible looking shampoo, and their cute chubby bottles, design, color and ingredients mentioned also super duper cute.

I bought them in Korea, they look so good right?! For those wondering, signs of aging doesn't just happen to the skin, but to our hair too. So when the hair is aging, the color, natural hair color, starts fading, and the thickness also affected, not just the numbers of the hair but each strand loss it's thickness. Each become thinner and thinner until eventually they'll breaks easily.

We need using the right product as much as better diet for an anti aging goodness all over the skin, body, and hair. Food like nuts are said to be very good for our skin and hair, perhaps we should start stock ups and perhaps using these kind of products too, right?!

The details provided by their official website is impressive, hopefully they'll do exactly that for our hair, fuller, more volume and stronger.

-*-

First, let's talk about the shampoo, the clear greenish one, but when it is poured out from the bottle, it's just a clear gel that smells like bamboo. I'm not familiar with how a bamboo should smell, but I think it's something that we can easily relate and feels like, aha! That's a smell of a bamboo, green, fresh, clean.

The shampoo lathers easily and rinse off easily too. It cleans the greasy scalp and dirty hair within 2 washes. The scent is really good but doesn't last long, more like a few hours and then nothing.

The conditioner is white and creamy, it's rich and satisfying yet when it's touching the wet hair, it become somewhat invisible like transparent. The formula is not exactly moisturizing like most conditioner, not really silky and slippery, more like creating a thin film and that's it, not really something that my super dry hair can be thankful for.

Overall,
both shampoo and conditioner that contains no SLS works well in terms of basic function of cleaning and conditioning the hair, but regarding building body, volume and strength of the hair hmm, it's not yet proven on my hair.

Collagen by Watson Gudetama Body Lotion

Hello lovelies,

a lot of brands are collaborating with Sanrio nowadays and Gudetama is on the rise. Many beauty products using it's eggy cuteness to deliberately connect the product and one of the ingredients as eggs, or so I thought. Now, some even doesn't care whether one of the ingredients or function related to eggs anymore or not, they just want those cute wiggly jiggly egg as their 'brand ambassador'.

-*-

Watson took their cuteness overload for the Collagen series, these are their body lotions. One is with Horse Oil and the other is Q10. One for moisturizing and nourishing while the other is anti aging and firming. Which one do I choose to try? Both!

-*-

The first thing I've tried is the one with Horse Oil Intensive Moisturizing & Repairing Body Lotion, the yellowish lotion. It smells fragrant and the lotions is pretty smooth on the skin. The formula is very easy to be used and doesn't leave any greasy nor oily residue, it's very much comfortable.

The scent is not really my favorite, but the texture does. It's not as thick and oily like the real horse oil lotion products so I guess it's pretty mild compared with the real deal I have from Hokkaido.

-*-

The lotion with white creamy texture, it has similar scent and texture like the Horse Oil, but Q10 Moisturizing and Firming Body Lotion is a bit more powdery. Still, these kind of mass brand products have similar benefits, not really something that you can hold on to, but it's a day to day moisturizing body lotion with the mild effect of Horse Oil and/or Q10 accordingly.

It helps boost the skin elasticity, but for me, that's it.

The Body Shop Fresh Sorbet Blush

Hello lovelies,

this is one of the product from The Body Shop I've been trying for quite some time that I even wonder is it still available at The Body Shop stores or it has been discontinued. Many online shops apparently still selling it, but hmm, I don't think it's easily get in Indonesia due to some reasons. They are still available in Thailand thou'.

-*-

The products emphasize on fresh sorbet like cheeks that available in 4 shades, Tuscan grape, Florida sunstar, lychee blossom, and Cuban watermelon (mine). They smells so refreshingly fruity and looks so good. The gel sparkly texture and seems like they might do the skin some good.

Below is me try to use the product.

As seen, they don't really blend easily, and you should just use a bit by bit. They do share a common problem like most tint cheeks makeup, apparently they stain the fingers more than the cheeks.

-*-

After trying to keep and blending, I have to remove some of the residue and the result is this faint like stain. I've tried to layer it some more, but it's not easy.

-*-

It's somewhat like a faint blush. Perfect to be used if you prefer something like this, a makeup that emphasize on the lips, or other than the cheeks.

-*-

Overall,

I'm not recommending this product since it's too faint and not easy to blend. The scent and texture may appear nice, smells good and interesting but that's it, those are the only things that interesting about the product.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Total Cover Foundation

Hello everyone,

last but not least, one last product of L'Oreal Paris Infallible collection that I'll share in my blog from Sociolla and L'Oreal Paris Indonesia. This is their foundation that have the 'strongest' coverage, as in maximum. Since the tone is really too dark for my skin tone, I'm using it as a contouring and they works well since it's easy to blend it on the skin.

-*-

Above is me using the Pro Matte shade 101 and the Total Cover Infallible Foundation in 308. Even thou they are different in texture, they still works pretty well together.

-*-

Above are the texture of Pro Matte, Pro Glow and Total Cover Foundation altogether when they are fresh from the tube. They look pretty similar right?! Like the Pro Matte and Pro Glow, just the Total Cover appear different right from the start, they seems creamy and thick, don't be fooled the ability to cover and the feeling when used is totally different. We would expect something so rich to be heavy right?! It's not, look at the comparisons of the three products below.

-*-

I put each of them on their location as seen on the images above and below after blending.

-*-

Clearly seen the differences of using each product as in finish and coverage ability (do ignore the shades), Pro Matte is really matte, soft and like powdery, I love the fresh clean feeling that last super long. The Pro Glow gives my dry skin a comfortable feeling thanks to the flexible texture. The skin appear to have a radiant glow, like it's not taut and dry anymore. While Total Cover Foundation gives the skin a natural finish with high coverage. The texture may appear thick and dense, but it's pretty airy and comfortable to be used too.

So there's you go, all three formula, all three finish and texture and ability to gives the skin what it want and what you need.

Thank you so much L'Oreal Paris Indonesia and Sociolla.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

Hello lovelies,

when many are hip hip hooray with the matte foundie from L'Oreal that truly did what it said it would, giving the skin a 24 hour matte finish (click here), now for those with dry skin, no worries, L'Oreal Paris didn't forget about you here's the Pro-Glow Foundation.

-*-

The Pro-Glow foundie is made for those with dry skin looking for a comfortable makeup base that works well in covering the skin while still fit and moist enough without causing problems that happens with dry skin like marks, brittle and dull looking skin.

Below is the matte and glow collection from L'Oreal Paris Infallible, they may look similar, but even the packaging container is different. One has glow and the other is matte.

-*-

On the texture of the product is similar and doesn't look much of the difference, but on the skin after it was set, they are totally apart from each other. One is powdery matte while the other have this soft dewy radiant glow. Comfortable for a dry skin to use the whole day without cracking and pleasing on the skin. Those with dry skin will understand the pulling feeling on the skin, it's annoying and can create problem, I remember have to carry some face mist and using it every 2 to 3 hours so the skin becomes relaxed again.

-*-

The glows it produce is light and not like you're suddenly having a greasy oily skin, more like that morning glow, fresh from the shower that still damp and the skin looks happy. There's this luminous shine. The coverage of the product is medium and still buildable, but to to turn into maximum, I need to add concealer and makeup with thicker and creamier texture.

-*-

The ones I have are shade number 203 and 205, 203 made me look a bit tan while 205 is definitely way too dark, so I'm using 203 on the image above my skin appear like tan, right?! While on the image below is my usual foundie, the shade is 2 above 203.

-*-

But since I'm here to review on Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation which happens to be shade 203 and 205, I'll use and review it accordingly. The experience of using the foundation is predictable, they are indeed made for dry skin, mine since it is dry skin, noticing the foundation as something that fluid, watery, and easy to be used. It blends well, sets well, and stick well too on the skin. They are not runny or melting even thou they are made for dry skin to glow, they works pretty well and stay well for long hours.

-*-

Cleaning wise, use a good makeup remover so there's no traces of makeup left.

Thank you so much Sociolla and L'Oreal Paris Indonesia

Rejoice Micellar Shampoo & Conditioner Fresh

Hello lovelies,

I think by this point everyone already know about that micellar water that cleans the skin, many brands has their own formula since it takes the world by storm, everyone is using it and all the brands are getting their hands on every last customer available. And now, micellar shampoo are also on the rise, woohoo!! This is definitely great news, why? Let's continue reading this post.

-*-

The keywords for micellar hair care are,
breathable scalp, smoother hair, right PH for the hair and scalp,
micellar shampoos can be used each time you shampoo. Out-of-the-shower fresh hair no longer a once-a-week option.
This micellar technology is helps to remove any gunk or product buildup that inevitably builds up on the scalp without harming your haircolor or the integrity of your hair.

Details from Redken (and many other International brands out there worldwide that has start selling micellar shampoo):

What Is Micellar Shampoo?

Micellar shampoos offer a new type of hair cleansing experience that gently washes away dirt, grit, pollution, product build-up and excess oils. Safe for color-treated hair, these mild shampoos are formulated without sulfates or silicones to give you bouncy, fresh hair without drying out your strands.

How Does Micellar Shampoo Work?

Micellar technology uses surfactants (fancy word for cleansing agents) that have both water-loving and oil-loving properties called micelles. These two parts help the molecules in your shampoo to attach to oil and dirt particles in your hair, which makes it easier to wash away. In short, the micelles are helping to get your hair as clean as possible without being too aggressive on your hair. Think of them as a magnet: they help draw out impurities like dirt, oil and environmental pollutants without being too harsh on your hair.

Amazing isn't it?! So the highlight is "magnet to impurities" just like micellar water (on cotton pad) do to your skin while cleansing.

So they strip away all those nasty ingredients that are PROVEN to be dangerous, harmful, and causing many problems to the hair and scalp. Avoid using shampoo that contain silicone as it clogged scalp, it is causing oily scalp in the short term and hair loss problem in the long run since the hair can not grow properly.

-*-

These gorgeous babies are some of the stuff hubby got for me from China, it's new there and it's from Rejoice, a brand that we know available in Indonesia but not yet producing these micellar goodness, so we'll have to wait, hopefully soon.

Since it's Rejoice, you know for sure they are very affordable, so now, no silicone shampoo has no longer become a luxury items where high end brands produce or home production, but massive. They also claim to have the right ph (acidity) for the hair, so it should be right. Like all the components we want to be right on a hair care, is there.

-*-

This is the shampoo, it's clear and greenish, it smells so freshly good and the lather is so frothy and light. A pump create a massive bubbles and enough for a long hair, so if you have shorter to medium like mine, half a pump is enough, and the clean feeling it bring is amazing. I get this refreshing ambiance almost immediately but not minty, so it's like very clean, breathable sensation that addictive. I love it, and I feel like I want to keep using it. Do you know a Herbal Essences commercial where there's a girl shampooing inside an airplane loo and she was like getting these floral phenomenal experience, I was like that, only this one is much fresher and greener.

The scent is like a fresh green floral that made me happy.

The scalp is like singing in rejoice (oh, just like the brand) and the volume on my hair is just pure love.

Whenever I do shampoo, after like a couple of hours, I like to touch my scalp, press it a bit and there's traces of oils, this one doesn't, my scalp feels clean longer and better, like until the next wash which is the next day since I love washing my hair on daily basis, it's just what I do, and now, even thou' I'm washing my hair daily (I sweat a lot every day since I do many things during the day like cleaning the house) I'm not worry anymore, this one can be use everyday and it made my scalp and hair feels great too.

Silicone made the hair sticky after a few hours and the scalp suffer, without those two nasty stuffs, my hair and scalp are in jubilation mode.

-*-

For me, the main focus is the shampoo, the conditioner is mediocre on my opinion. It helps detangling and smells as good as the shampoo, but that's it, since my hair is terribly dry, I don't have my hope up. Conditioner are NOT made for the scalp, so it is a product for the hair, it was made as it is, help smoothing and conditioned the hair, hence use it on the mid part all the way to ends, avoiding the scalp at all cost.

Those with normal hair will happily enjoy the conditioner, but for a hard core hair destruction level as mine, I need to use something heavier. So the good news is, this conditioner wont weight you down, it's as airy and lovely as the shampoo does to your hair, fresh feeling. No stickiness, no greasy, nor oily residue as well.

-*-

Overall,

A must must must try products for a scalp and hair lover, help cleans without causing problems and smells so refreshingly good.

Jabon No.1 Honey & Jasmine Liquid Soap

Hello lovelies,

natural soaps are on the rise for the past few years, nowadays customers are aware that using harsh surfactant is indeed not good for the skin. It made them dry, cause irritation and in the long term even linked to serious health issues.

Many of these soaps are now ready as handmade items and even has become unique souvenirs during birthdays, weddings and other celebratory gatherings. And I happen to meet one during one of the event, it is Jabon by Martene.

-*-

The packaging is beautiful and looks really exclusive, I was surprise to see them. Looks like they have class on their own. I checked out their instagram account and seems like they insist of having natural ingredients and only producing in small batch.... expensive? I don't know, maybe, but they look good aren't they?!

-*-

I love the packaging, and I love what I see inside. Natural soaps ave been my interest in the past few years as my skin start to show signs of irritation. Not just soaps, I start changing my shampoo, body lotion and anything that touches the skin. It has shown effects, no longer do I have unbearable dry skin, but no psoriasis too.

-*-

Listed on the bottle is the packaging and necessary details on the product. Everything is simple yet suffice.

-*-

The product inside is a clear yellowish gel that smells really good, jasmine with a hint of honey tone, so it's not sweet, more like a floral with warmth. The products lathers on the wet skin just nice and feels light, it cleans with a wonderful slippery feeling and when rinsed off, the skin feels clean. You know sometime there's this natural products that doesn't really give me a clean feeling after using it, this one delivers.

And the scent kinda last too, love it!!

-*-

Since the product seems to be very gentle on the skin, I let the kids using it also and they seems to enjoy the product too. Many kids toiletries in the market are bombarded with harmful chemicals such as paraben and SLES, it's agonizing to let them use it, even thou they put so many cartoon character on the packaging and write it all over it was for kids, but being negligence is just not a thing anymore, we do have a choice to become wiser and give our kids what they deserve, since some of the effects are long term.

-*-

Last but not least, I'm satisfy with Jabon by Martene, their No.1 Honey & Jasmine Liquid Soap is really good, I do recommend it for anyone to try.

Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color

Hello lovelies,

especially you who have dry lips and yet still not interested in glossy lips due to the balmy texture or uncomfortable feeling when using them. Lipstick itself is a unique thing where we desire color yet want something that feels good on the lips with the exact right finish as well. Oh well, we all want perfection isn't it?! The feeling, texture, convenience, to long lasting power and finish. Is there any product that gives us all?

I happen to try the new Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color in 09. Soaked Berries, 13. Juicy Plum, and 14. Lush Rose.

-*-

It’s time to embrace the all new trend of “liquid gold” with a perfect stroke of Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color.

Infused with actual Moroccan argan oil, this lip color has the ultimate power to nourish your lips along with intense pigmentation. It has a creamy texture that delivers a smooth and silky finish. Available in 15 vibrant shades, the entire palette is suitable for Indian skin tones.

Step 1: Create a cross on your cupid’s bow. Step 2: Start applying from the centre of your upper lip. Step 3: Work from the centre towards the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Step 4: Glide across the entire bottom lip.

-*-

I don't have Indian skin tone, but I believe these babies looks good on me too.

Above are the swatches of the products I have. Number 9 and 13 is slightly similar with a hint of tone, one is darker than the other.

Below are me using each of the products respectively.

-*-

Started with Juicy Plum (13), when I use it for the first time, I was amazed by the texture, it is unbelievably smooth and delicate. Silky and beautiful, I love it, it is probably one of the best lipstick's texture I've tried before and I do recommend the product for anyone with dry lips.

And it's all there, the color, comfort and finish, not greasy nor oily, not waxy nor balmy feeling, it's just smooth sailing. The lipstick is not exactly glossy too, more like demi gloss, so for me, it's perfect.

-*-

Number 13 probably my favorite tone but the rest are also beautiful, below is something brighter, number 14. Lush Rose.

-*-

None of the images here where I use lip pencil nor lip liner of any kind, it's pure Argan Oil Lip Color, and no brush as well. So it's directly from the lipstick to my lips and they look great isn't it?! The shape itself made it easy for me to apply.

-*-

Last but not least, number 09. Soaked Berries, one of the shade which I think pretty mysterious compared to the rest, the Juicy Plum have a hint of redness and Lush Rose is cheerful and bright. Soaked Berries is slightly to the brown and looks delicious, I like this one too. And regarding the scent, they all smell the same, somehow like a strawberry dipped in vanilla chocolate.

Overall,

a highly recommended lipstick with amazing texture that is ultra smooth, reminds me a lot of a high end lippies that cost 5-6 times than this one. Love it!! The color is there, the formula is sublime, the finishing is really good and the long wear formula is something you'll enjoy. They may not be waterproof but able to resist water to some level. Each are available for Rp. 150.000.

Thank you Lakme Indonesia for the lippies, still couldn't believe I love them so much.

SkinFood Egg White Perfect Pore Cleansing Foam & Cleansing Water

Hello lovelies,

Today I want to share with you about eggs, yes, those eggs that we eat on mostly daily basis as long as you're not allergic to it, seems like they are very good for our skin.

Here's some information from SkinFood:

An egg is a powerhouse of protein! Rich in amino acids and vitamins, it's the driving force behind our egg-citing Egg White skin care line.

Nobody’ s Perfect, But Albumen Comes Close
Albumen, commonly known as egg whites, is one of nature’ s highest quality protein sources. It’ s also packed with niacin (Vitamin B3), riboflavin (Vitamin B2), selenium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, and potassium, and a complete amino acid profile. Containing no cholesterol, saturated fat, or carbohydrates, and at just 17 calories per white, egg whites hold a distinguished place in any healthy diet. But is it good for your skin?

I’ ve Got Egg On My Face, And It’ s A Good Thing
Here are four ways albumen works in our Egg White Pore line:
  • Regulates excessive sebum
  • Eliminates pore-clogging impurities
  • Tightens pores and minimizes their appearance
  • Eradicates skin bacteria

In the same way albumen protects and nourishes a baby chick in the shell, it can have the same energizing effects for your skin. The high level of protein in albumen, along with its natural low-moisture state, make it a very effective moisturizing and tightening agent. Albumen is also a natural anti-inflammatory. All of these virtues make egg white egg-cellent for exfoliating, refining pores, and controlling excess oil, as well as having an anti-aging effect!

-*-

Egg White
Upgraded Egg Perfect Pore line that uses 5 red and green food functions as well as a higher concentration of Egg Yolk, Albumin, and Hot Spring Water for a fresh poreless appearance.

The details sounds so impressive and astonishing isn't it?! But imagine of using sticky, slimy eggs on to the skin (or hair), the smell and texture itself my put some off for a while. Adding ingredients like olive oil, or essential oils like lavender and so on might help but still, can our skin really take those important stuffs in the eggs. Our skin have pores and they are tiny, many beauty manufacturers spend fortune turning raw materials to nano technology, so how about SkinFood? Let's see my review, okay?!

-*-

Again, due to aging or one of the thing that said to be aging is larger pores, it's just the way it is. The skin wasn't able to retain moisture as it is and loose it flexibility in keeping them tight, so the skin stays after enlarging. So the pores are like breathing things where they can become large or shrink, like when we were hot they will open up and when we are cold like after an ice mask, the pores are definitely shrinking.

Now, to keep the pores small, things need to be done in regular basis, and keeping them clean also one of the way, if they were clogged, they'll stay open. So cleanliness also one of the key, why don't we start with the cleanser then.

-*-

Upgraded fresh pore-specialized foam that removes impurities and excessive oils for a smooth poreless complexion.
Directions
Dispense ample amount onto wet palm and massage onto face avoiding eye and mouth area. Rinse off with warm water.

Ingredients:
Water, Myristic Acid, Glycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Sucrose, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Cetearyl Olivate, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Albumen Extract, Egg Yolk Extract, Sorbitan Olivate, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Disodium Edta, Butylene Glycol, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Salicylic Acid, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Polysorbate 80, Phenoxyethanol, Oleth-7, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Beta-Sitosterol, Serenoa Serrulata Fruit Extract, Sulfur, Tocopherol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract

The product lathers well when added with water, but there's this tartness, like when you are touching white eggs that started to dry up, there's this sensation or feeling of rigid, I'm not saying it as a good or bad thing, more like describing as it is. The face feels weirdly clean thou, since there's this tart feeling. So, it kinda feels like there's some leftovers on the skin, it's a good thing that the other thing I have is their Cleansing Water.

-*-

A no-rinse cleansing water that immediately shrinks visible pores and leaves a refreshing finish without stickiness.
Directions
Sufficiently moisten a cotton pad with the product and lightly wipe your entire face. You can leave it on stubborn makeup to absorb for easier removal. Thoroughly rinse with lukewarm water and finish with cold water. What?? So we need to rinse it or not??

Ingredients:
Water, Peg-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Egg Yolk Extract, Albumen Extract, 1, 2-Hexanediol, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Extract, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Citrate, Propylene Glycol, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Fragrance, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Cetrimonium Chloride, Centella Asiatica Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Polysorbate 80, Phenoxyethanol, Oleth-7, Salicylic Acid, Sulfur

-*-

Funny thing, the details said to use it on a cotton pad and it cleans the skin (kinda like micellar water) but then after that, they said to rinse it off (all the details are from The Face Shop official website), so it's a bit confusing for me to use it like toner or rinse it off. But I feel better with rinsing it off since again, there's this tartness or taut or tight feeling afterwards. Those who owns oily skin perhaps will enjoy this matte like feeling. But the sides of my nose feels a bit pain, like being too dry and irritated. Still, the rest of the face is fine, so perhaps I just keep on focusing on the upper cheeks near below the eyes area where the pores are visibly large and not anywhere else.

Those are seems to response well and appear shrunk. I like it.

-*-

Overall,

a relatively good daily cleanser (not makeup remover) that focusing on large pores, making them appear smaller like when using egg whites without the stickiness or slimy feeling of an egg, and not the gamy and smells too, so they smells pretty good. Those with oily skin will enjoy this product even more while those with combination to dry perhaps using the products on some areas that need the effects.
