Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour® Cream is the legendary, award-winning skin protectant that does more than soothe sun-burned skin, rehydrate chapped lips, and heal rough elbows and calluses. It’s also the secret that makeup artists all over the world use for keeping legs, lips and eyelids shiny; eyebrows in place; and cuticles perfectly manicured. There are an infinite number of ways to use this classic cream, but here are 8 great ones:

5. TREAT FOR FEET – Smooth rough heels and soften soles for barefoot beauty in every season.
6. AFTER-SUN SOOTHER – With its legendary soothing and moisturizing benefits, it’s the ideal after-sun treatment to relieve minor sunburn and calm dry, irritated sun-exposed skin.
7. FLIGHT TOOL – Flying can leave skin looking and feeling dry and uncomfortable. Pack this intensive hydrator to boost skin’s in-flight moisture level wherever you go.
8. LEG WEAR – Great for an après shave or après wax treatment. This classic cream calms irritation, reduces redness and leaves legs super-smooth and silky-soft.
THE LEGEND Created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden herself to soothe skin, Eight Hour® Cream Skin Protectant became an instant and overwhelming success. What made it so effective? A combination of petrolatum, a skin-soothing beta-hydroxy -- debuting in one of its first cosmetic uses -- and vitamin E. The apricot-colored balm was so beneficial to her clients that Miss Arden even used it to soothe her famous thoroughbred horses' legs. Even its name came about thanks to a remarkable performance – a loyal client used it to treat her child's skinned knee and "Eight Hour®s" later, the skin was all better.
As seen on The Today Show and Rachael Ray.

BEAUTY TIP: "As a makeup artist, I love to use this on the runway. The eyelids, cheekbones – the lips as a gloss. It's great as a brow fixative to keep the brows in place. It's great on the elbows and cuticles; it heals, moisturizes and soothes. It reverses the dryness in the skin, especially during cold weather – it's terrific. It gives that beautiful, healthy and natural look to the skin."

I use both of them during the trip to Japan around 2 weeks ago and until now, I just can't give them up. The formula is perfect in making the skin feels so good and protected. During the 8 hours flight the skin will definitely suffer, by using both cream and lip protectant the skin and lips stays moist and even better than before departure.

Since both of them under 100ml, I can easily slip them in my purse and use it on the journey.

The friendly price of the products make it even more approachable. 50g may seems small, but it made a lot of differences. Single usage is always less than a gram, for me one tube can last for a month. Usually I use around rice size for the lips and it still have leftovers. On areas such as elbows, heels and knees, I use around a pea size for all of those.

During the trip, I have to walk in heels and I also wearing a new sandals, this equals to blisters almost in every part. My feet are literally suffering, so at night after taking a bath, I applied some of the cream to the whole feet, waking up, they are has become so smooth, soft and the blisters? They are healing. The skin are covering ups and I can use that exact same sandals and heels again.

The cream when first applied may seems so oily and greasy, but in a matter of minutes they are penetrating into the skin, and the leftovers are creating protective film outside. It's unique alright and perhaps one of the reason why the products become a legend.

The texture of the cream depends on the temperature of the environment it's in. During the flight when it is pretty cold, the cream is thicker and can hold themselves together, but when it's like around 25 degree Celsius and above, the texture will become like a runny cream, almost like oils.

The aroma is medicinal, a bit like orange and herbal. It is probably a scent that either you love it or hate it, but regarding the effect, I think most will definitely loving it.

The lip protectant stick is a balm that gives the lips a moist and soft effect instantly. Can be used before a lipstick or after for a glossy and non sticky finish.

-*-

The Lip Protectant glides on easily on the lips, covering the dryness and heal the chapped areas. The smell is like the original cream. When used the lips feels greasy at first but then it enveloped the lips in moisture. Making it comfortable throughout the day. When not intact with anything the lips will stay hydrated, but when drink, eat or in severe dry condition, the lip balm need to be reapplied.

I use both of them during the night flight. The combo of a dry air inside the plane and sleeping at night makes the skin feel so thirsty. It's a good thing these two babies from Elizabeth Arden at my side.

-*-

I never forget to clean my skin before bed time, that does include when taking a night flight. So the skin can breathe and free from makeups. In this time, skincare is really needed. I wish I have the Eight Hour Moisturizer, yes, they do have one as well.

Thank you so much Elizabeth Arden Indonesia, my skin definitely feels the gratitude throughout the journey.
