Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet (New Shades)

Hello lovelies,

these babies are the new shades from Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet. So surely, the collection itself is not new but they keep adding new shades, here they are, no. 10 and no. 19. On the website alone, their official shades are 9, so number 10 (Don't Pink of It!) and 19 (Jolie-de-vin) is a fresh new one that haven't been available in all the countries, I happen to get mine from Singapore.

I also made a video where you can see how these babies works during application, shade number 19 need layering while number 10 is easier, bold and solid from the first swipe.

They are unique, even thou they come from the same brand and series, their texture could be slightly different one to another. I kinda love the both, 19 is perfect for those who are looking for gradation or doesn't really want a bold color at once, but those who want bold can simply reapply numerous time for an intense look, so you do have option. Meanwhile number 10 is suitable as it is as the color is solid as seen. No need multiple layering as a single layer covers well.

Don't Pink of It! Gives me a demure, romantic, soft and delicate pink that perfect for any day. It made my look sophisticated and  I really like that innocent vibe too.

Since the color is easy to be used and made me appear friendly, the consistency and coverage it gives also kind to me. It covers everything while making my lips looks flawless.

Meanwhile, the red one, it needs patience as layering is necessary. Oh, and they both has this distinct smell that I hate. Like it's a paint or something plus, sometime, the formula causing my lips to itch, a lot. After using it for quite some time, they somehow do, like I'm allergic or something, I don't really understand how to explain it and it's not always. But when the itch comes I just removes the lipstick and the itch is gone.

I feel fine with the rest of Bourjois products, just these two.

Aside from that uncomfortable itch, the color itself and staying power is good, I just wont be able to use them often or too long.

Does anyone from Bourjois could help me on this issue ?

Anyway, they are great for gradations too, these two together, the red one in the middle and the pink on outer layer. They can also be mixed since the setting time is quite slow. Definitely not 100% transfer-proof, still smudge a bit when kissed and especially when we eat.

Simply top it off as they doesn't crumbled like most matte liquid lipstick does but they also doesn't really 100% matte, kinda almost matte, demi matte seems to be the word.

Overall,

these babies are superb in shade and color, but the formula still needs questioning, I don't know what's wrong, maybe I use some cleanser in between that contradict with the ingredients.

The container is short like lipstick and not long like most liquid lipstick, the wand is rather firm and definitely not flexible, with angle that fit the lips and easy to be maneuvered. The scent definitely need improvement but the smooth and creamy texture is spot on.
